The village of Torphins in Aberdeenshire is in the heart of Royal Deeside, surrounded by open countryside for avid walkers; this single-storey cottage is ideal for a family of four. Park up at the side of the house where two off-road spaces await, making unloading your vehicle an easy task. Step inside to discover the lengthy hallway, where you can house your walking boots, ready for a Scottish adventure. A well-equipped kitchen/diner can be found nearby, with an electric oven and hob to rustle up tasty dishes; the property also offers a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, along with a fridge and freezer. You also have the use of a locking shed for bikes, hiking gear and skis etc. Settle down at the dining table for four, to enjoy heart warming meals; why not uncork a bottle of wine to toast your gate-away, or on warm evenings head outside to the rear garden and have a barbecue in the sunshine. Retreat to the sitting room which has two plush sofas to unwind on, as the Smart TV does the entertaining; the children can watch a DVD or hook up their devices to the Internet. When sleep calls, there is a double and a twin room both providing furniture to house your belongings. In the morning have a shower or a soak in the tub, to start your day feeling relaxed. If you don’t fancy cooking, embark on a short walk up the road to find The Learney Arms Indian Cuisine, where you can sit in or takeaway, along with a Chinese takeaway and a local license convenience store for anything else. There are five fantastic golf courses within a ten mile radius of the property, as well as a host of forest walks, including the Deeside Way, which is only a few miles away and is a fantastic path that spans from Aberdeen to Ballater. A short drive away, up the road, is Balmoral Castle and Royal Lochnagar Distillery. Alternatively, you can venture in the opposite direction into Banchory to find more shops, local amenities and a Sports Centre.
