This character Victorian holiday cottage is like stepping back in time. Nestled in the heart of the Nantlle Valley and a short drive from Snowdon, this delightful terraced cottage looks out onto an idyllic lake with views of the surrounding Snowdonia National Park.
Being centrally located in a quiet village, this cottage is ideal for those wanting to explore either mountains or coast. It is also a fantastic base for walkers, climbers or cyclists but likewise for visitors who want a peaceful break; there’s a Trigonos yoga/mindfulness retreat close by!
A number of incredibly scenic walking routes can be started right from your doorstep in this area of outstanding natural beauty. From picturesque bike rides in the nearby forests to kayaking or canoeing on the lake. The village is rural but still offers so much to see and do.
The sleepy village of Nantlle is also a great place for those who just want to relax and escape from the bustle of everyday life. There’s a very good chance that you won’t want to tear yourself away from the stunning mountain views which surround this dear cottage.
The owner of the cottage lives just next door, and although you’ll be given complete privacy whilst on your holiday, previous guests of Perthi have enjoyed collecting fresh eggs from the chickens and feeding the sheep at owner’s small holding in the fields to the back of the cottages – a wonderful way for families, especially with younger children, to spend a day.
Whether you are looking to hike along the popular Nantlle Ridge, explore nearby beaches and tourist attractions or simply relax in a peaceful location this cottage caters for all. The popular village of Beddgelert is close by, as is the Welsh Highland Railway and there’s even Pant Du Vineyard just down the road! Formerly a quarryman’s cottage, Perthi has been sympathetically renovated with both old and new and makes a comfortable and welcoming retreat in rural North Wales.
