Felixstowe 5 miles. Nestled within the owners’ smallholding, where they run a little shop selling eggs and home-grown vegetables, is 2 Hillside Cottages, boasting a lovely position on the outskirts of Felixstowe. Enveloped by some fantastic walking and cycling routes, with a fishing lake nearby and a plethora of amenities awaiting at the surrounding hamlets and villages, choose this base for your next well-earned holiday in Suffolk. Kick off your walking boots on the shoe rack in the vestibule and get ready to fully relax within the light and bright living room elevated by exposed wooden features and a toasty woodburner, which adds warmth to a cosy night in. You can rustle up a tasty meal in the well-appointed kitchen or head out to one of the local pubs or restaurants for a bite to eat. Upstairs, the king-size double bedroom overlooks the front garden and occupies a zip/link bed, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements. You can enjoy a quiet read before bed with the bedside table lamps to assist you and there is also plenty of storage space, while the twin bedroom is perfect for the kids. Run yourself a bath in the contemporary-style bathroom after a long walk beside the sea, or wake up to a long shower before heading out to explore the local area. To the exterior is a front enclosed garden, where you can relax with a drink at the end of a summer evening. Head to the coast down at Felixstowe and discover a wealth of attractions, including the Felixstowe Museum, Landguard Point and the beautiful Edwardian architecture. You also have the popular speedway track at Foxhall Stadium near Ipswich, while the small village of Waldringfield offers traditional pubs and lovely walks along the River Deben.
