Meander through the bustling town of Penhryndeudraeth, boasting independent restaurants, cafes and boutiques to grab a keepsake, as well as a vegan eatery to cater to every pallet. Penhryndeudraeth, meaning (Peninsula with two beaches) offers a whole plethora of places to visit from sightseeing to walking trails, museums, Zip World, Snowdonia and many more, not forgetting Anglesey and the historic towns of Caernarfon, Harlech and Criccieth with their own castles all less than an hour’s drive away. If you are a train enthusiast or just like steam trains, this is a great location as the Penrhyn Welsh Highland Railway station which was opened in 1865 and a Grade Il listed building is located up and along the back of the cottage where you can catch the train to visit Porthmadog with its harbour and high street full of shops, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Minfford and Beddgelert, travelling through the countryside surrounded by spectacular scenery with a burst of nostalgia.
