    More Information

This traditional, whitewashed, end-terrace cottage is situated in the tiny hamlet of Hannakin, less than 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of the quaint village of Hawkshead and six miles from the bustling town of Ambleside. With pretty views, especially from the first floor sitting room, this wonderful cottage is a popular choice for couples or families at any time of the year. Set over two floors, but with upside down accommodation to take advantage of those views, the two bedrooms and bathroom sit on the ground floor whilst upstairs you’ll find the living areas. At the side of the cottage, the patio area is festooned with pretty flowers and plants, offering a lovely sun trap in the afternoon. Why not amble into Hawkshead and enjoy the pretty cobbled yards, traditional whitewashed cottages, interesting foodie shops and old-fashioned inns? Grizedale Forest and visitor centre is just 10 minutes’ drive away whilst Hill Top, home of Beatrix Potter, is 2.5 miles away and Lake Windermere lies just a little further. This beautiful part of the Lake District offers endless footpaths and bridleways to explore right from the cottage doorstep, or take the twenty minute walk to Grizedale Forest. After a long day enjoying the beautiful scenery, hurry home to your cosy cottage, put your feet up by the fire, enjoy the stunning views from the sitting room window and plan tomorrow’s great adventure.
