Take a road trip to the lovely stone town of Stamford which is great for a touch of shopping and eateries.Renowned for its wonderful architecture including that of Burghley House, one of the finest of Elizabethan mansions set in lovely parkland.The River Welland flows through water meadows in the town centre making it an attractive setting.Oakham is also a short drive away.The pretty traditional English market town is home to a variety of activities and packed with heritage.There are also some great shops and restaurants.
