The loch is perfect for kayaking and there is also a popular cycle route along the Crinan Canal nearby. The adjoining woodlands are rich with wild and bird life and are popular with animal enthusiasts who can walk for miles taking in the region’s flora and fauna. Tarbert village is a short drive and a little further afield, visitors are able to sail to islands such as Ghigha and Jura.
