April Cottage is a characterful and charming former fisherman’s cottage, set within the idyllic fishing village of Port Isaac, Cornwall. Set over three storeys, April Cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it a perfect choice for a family or for couples sharing. The sitting room is a generous size, making for the ideal spot to unwind in with the family. On nights when you don’t fancy eating out you can stay in and sit around the dining table after rustling up a gourmet meal in the well-equipped kitchen/diner. There are two bedrooms set across the first and second floors to choose from, a double room on the first floor boasting views of the village to wake up to, and a twin room on the second floor, complete with an en-suite shower room. After a day of exploring the Cornish coast why not retire to the sitting room on the first floor to unwind and watch a spot of TV or walk out to the balcony from here and enjoy a drink on the deck whilst watching the fishing boats coming and going, an idyllic way to end the day. Port Isaac seems to expand out from the harbour and there is a warren of streets to explore, all containing charming shops, galleries, pubs, and restaurants. The most famous street has to be Squeezy Belly Alley, one of the narrowest thoroughfares in the whole of the UK, make sure to visit this local landmark during your wanderings about the village. There are plenty of attractions to enjoy nearby; visit Merlin’s Cave in Tintagel thought to be the birthplace of the legend of King Arthur, with a commanding statue resting above the bay of the king himself. Pentargon Waterfall in Boscastle is a beautiful sight to behold amidst the natural beauty, or search the archaeological remains dotted over Bodmin Moor, with plenty of walking and cycling opportunities here. Along with fishing trips, sea safaris and the likes of Newquay, a true surfing capital, all on the card too, there’s lots to choose from. Discover all of these things and more from April Cottage in Cornwall.
