The village of Stein is three miles away and boasts a fantastic seafood restaurant, plus The Stein Inn, which is reputed to be the oldest tavern on Skye. This area of Waternish has a well-establish tannery and showroom, which is a great place to pick up a traditional souvenir. Stein has a Dive Centre with diving trips and sea trips to spot whales and dolphins. Or, visit Cannach Pottery and Showroom. The larger village of Dunvegan is a short drive away, and offers a 13th century castle plus gardens to explore. The whole island is rich with places to visit and things to do, whether you want to walk up the Cuillins, take a boat trip, cycle on the fantastic forestry tracks or simply sit back and admire the wildlife, you will not be disappointed.
