A well-appointed and welcoming detached bungalow, located in a slightly elevated position next to the owner’s home, in a quiet residential area just a short stroll from the popular market town of Bala and its lake, which lies within the stunning Snowdonia National Park. This cottage is a perfect base for a family, friends or couples looking to spend some quality time together, enjoying the peace and tranquillity, exploring the surrounding mountains and countryside, yet being close enough to the town centre to visit its array of independent shops, tea rooms and the wide choice and selection of pubs and restaurants. This delightful bungalow offers three light and bright bedrooms, two of which benefit from king-size beds, and there is a modern family bathroom. There is room for everyone in the spacious sitting room with two large, sumptuous reclining sofas, fantastic to sink into after a busy day out and about or perfect for an evening in with your feet up watching your favourite film. The kitchen is well-equipped and caters for all your needs and the conservatory is a lovely place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or family supper together. Outside, you can sit in the private garden that wraps around the cottage, and unwind after a day exploring the fabulous countryside. The garden and seating area is of crushed slate with a lovely blocked paved path winding around to the rear of the cottage, extending to a sloping grassy bank with shrubs and mature plants. Bala is in the heart of the Welsh Lake District and on the shores of the stunning Llyn Tegid, which is the largest natural lake in Wales, ideal for days out with footpaths heading in all directions. The golf course is less than half a mile away, perfect for a round or two! You are ideally placed to explore all the fabulous Mid and North Wales countryside, pretty villages, lakes and waterfalls galore, as well as the mountains and numerous outdoor activities such as whitewater rafting and caving. For something a little more relaxed, why not take a trip on the Bala Lake railway or visit the Glassblobbery, a wonderful stained-glass workshop? Alternatively, just enjoy the mass of walks and cycle routes that criss-cross the area. Slightly further afield, to the north, you will find the magnificent landscape surrounding Blaenau Ffestiniog, fast becoming the adrenaline capital of Wales with Zip World Titan & Caverns and Bounce Below. The North Wales coast is easily accessible too, and other attractions such as the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Portmeirion Italianate village and gardens, many historic castles and the beautiful sweep of the Llyn Peninsula with its fabulous sandy beaches are all worth a visit. There is so much to see and do with a fantastic choice of outdoor activities in the area, before returning to the comfort of this lovely cottage at the end of a busy day.
