With access to on-site facilities, as well as countryside and sea views, Ballycahane welcomes up to six guests and is ideal for groups yearning for a rural getaway. As you step inside the property, be sure to make use of the open-plan kitchen/dining space by preparing and enjoying your meals together as you gather around the dining table, lounge by the warmth of the woodburning stove in the well-furnished sitting room, or take in the fresh, countryside air as your relax with your loved ones in the sizeable rear garden, the perfect spot for enjoying a barbecue on a warm, summer evening. Inside, you will also find three well-furnished bedrooms, including a master bedroom with en-suite shower room where you can wash away the day before retiring to the plush double bed. If you can tear yourself away from your idyllic base, stroll down to Sandy Cove beach for a homemade picnic, or a short drive will bring you to the quaint village of Castletownshend, where you can grab some tasty grub from either McCarthy’s Bar or Mary Ann’s Bar and Restaurant, both worth a visit. Glandore is nearby and is home to natural attractions such as the Drombeg Stone Circle, a must visit before refuelling in one of the local pubs and restaurants nearby including the Glandore Inn and Casey’s of Glandore. The fishing village of Union Hall makes a lovely day out, with its quaint streets, stunning natural beauty, and varied sealife. Further west, discover the sailing harbours of Baltimore, Schull and Crookhaven where you can try your hand at sailing or whale watching, perfect for exploring this beautiful area. If you choose to make a day of it, make the car journey to Cork, the second largest city in Ireland, boasting a plethora of historic landmarks, including Berwick Fountain, Elizabeth Fort and St. Patrick’s Bridge, as well as delicious dining spots such as Luigi Malones and Strasbourg Goose Restaurant.
