A short walk through the picturesque Cornish valley takes you to the award winning Carbis Bay Beach, this secluded bay has a blue flag award for its clear turquoise waters, it’s a lifeguarded beach at peak times making it ideal for trying the water sports on offer, from the beach you can access the South West coastal path, you can walk into St Ives or towards Hayle in the other direction. A more relaxing but still scenic route to St Ives is by the nearby train, St Ives is beautiful, think cobbled streets filled with unique boutique shops, seaside cafes, restaurants and art galleries, it also has a working harbour and is home to The Tate gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. Further afield a day trip to Land’s End taking in the nearby open air Minack Theatre, set dramatically on the edge of a Cornish cliff and rounding off with a walk out to the magical island setting of St Michaels Mount, near Penzance, will leave you spellbound with memories which will last a lifetime.
