This attractive, detached cottage rests in spacious grounds on the outskirts of the village of Bodfari, in the peaceful Vale of Clwyd. Maintaining rustic charm while offering a selection of modern amenities, the property is well-equipped for a family holiday to this unspoilt part of Wales, anytime of year. Accessed via a shared driveway to the owner’s home, the cottage enjoys a connecting woodland and large paddock. As you step into this delightful dwelling you are welcomed into the hallway with tile effect flooring and a spot to leave your jacket and boots before exploring the ground floor. Prepare family feasts in the beautifully presented kitchen, with granite surfaces and an electric Aga set in a stone chimney breast and a separate Aga companion cooker. After a filling meal, curl up beside the fire in the sitting area, using this room to recharge after a day of exploring the area. Head upstairs to find the three bedrooms, including the master bedroom with king-size bed and ample wardrobe space, along with a TV if you fancy a film before bed. The remaining bedrooms consist of a second king-size and twin which would appeal to children, serviced by a large bathroom with a freestanding bath and walk-in shower, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the evening and a refreshing shower in the morning. A summer barbecue can be enjoyed on the outdoor decking, set in large lawned grounds with a picturesque stream separating the owner’s garden. The village of Bodfari has a quaint pub, which is approximately 1 mile from the property where you can enjoy excellent food and tasty appetisers, as well as extensive seating and surrounding views of the Vale of Clwydian, where a number of footpaths can be explored. These walks include the challenging Offa’s Dyke National Trail and the 15-mile trail, North Berwyn Way. For a family get-together to North Wales, consider Bawbee Cottage as your place of residence.
