Little Haven 6.5 miles. Beacon House is a fine, detached traditional cottage resting in the village of Marloes, Pembrokeshire, offering off-road parking, open beams, an enclosed garden, and a woodburning stove, all set near the beach. Step inside and you’ll quickly sense the character of this mid‑19th‑century cottage, where exposed beams and traditional touches shape a setting well suited to a relaxed coastal stay. The kitchen provides a practical space for preparing meals at your own pace, while the dining room invites you to linger over supper after days spent outdoors. As evening arrives, the sitting room becomes the heart of the home, with the woodburning stove adding a welcoming glow as you settle in with a book, a film, or a quiet conversation. The cottage offers two bedrooms, including a double and a twin, making it a suitable choice for couples, friends, or a small family, while the ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower is ideal after sandy walks and sea air. Outside, the enclosed garden with lawn and furniture is a pleasant place to start the day with a coffee or enjoy a drink later on, with space for your well‑behaved dog to stretch out alongside you. Marloes itself is well known for the world famous Puffins and a large sweeping beach and dramatic coastal scenery, with footpaths leading directly to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and Nearby St Davids offers a rewarding day out, where you can explore the historic cathedral, browse independent shops, and enjoy cafés dotted around the city centre. A short drive takes you to Dale, a waterside village popular for its harbour views, coastal walks, and opportunities for all kinds of watersports including kayaking, sailing or just wanting to jump off the pontoon!! From the nearby mainland embarkation point, boat trips run out to Skomer Island, famed for Puffins, wildlife and seabird colonies during the season. After full days discovering the coastline, return to Beacon House.
