    A superb, semi-detached Lakeland cottage nestled in beautiful surroundings in the traditional fell village of Caldbeck. This pretty cottage is situated under the Northern fells, at the edge of the Lake District National Park and is almost equal distant from Penrith, Carlisle, Keswick, Wigton and Cockermouth. Beckside Cottage has charming features, including a stained glass entrance door depicting a Swaledale sheep, along with oak beams, sash windows and a toasty fireplace with a wood burning stove. Comfortably appointed to provide charming and spacious accommodation, this holiday home is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing break for a couple, family or friends. Settle in for an evening in the homely sitting room, offering a perfect place to snuggle down at the end of the day with a glass of wine and a good book in front of the warm wood burning stove. The designated chef will be in their element in the well-equipped kitchen, fitted with all the essentials needed for cooking up a storm before heading over to the dining room to enjoy a delicious dinner! The first floor houses two welcoming bedrooms with attractive décor and ample storage for your belongings, as well as access to a stylish and contemporary bathroom. Outside this Lake District cottage is a patio with furniture to enjoy in the warm weather where you can relish being in the midst of the beautiful Northern Fells, with plenty of walks that can be enjoyed right from the doorstep. Along with some lovely walks Caldbeck also has an excellent pub and shop, as well as a duck pond, plus you may see sheep and sometimes ponies, amble through the village. The historical ‘Priests Mill’ lovingly renovated and awared winning contains a restaurant and shop is well worth a visit! Discover a wealth of history at popular heritage sites at the Howk limestone gorge and waterfalls, the Threlkeld Mining Museum, the Priest’s Mill, and the 19th century Bobbin Mill. The popular Lake District market town of Keswick is just a short drive away, boasting many excellent independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, as well as an extensive selection of outdoor activity centres, all nestling on the shores of Derwentwater. Spend a day roaming around the exciting city of Carlisle, offering more fantastic shopping options, a grand cathedral, a dramatic castle and interesting museums.
