Located in the charming village of Bodney, at Bodney Lodge you can stay in the heart of the unspoilt countryside of Norfolk’s Brecklands, in a beautifully restored nineteenth century barn and stable. From the four-poster bed to the full-size snooker table and hot tub, the facilities are luxurious. Drive down the tree-lined, gravel drive through the idyllic Bodney Hall estate and you’ll arrive at a very special holiday home. Bodney Lodge comprises a barn, stable and outhouse that have been renovated to an extremely high standard. The heart of the property is the spectacular open-plan living space in the main barn, with its original, vaulted oak-beamed ceiling that creates a vast space for family and friends to congregate. There’s a cosy seating area as well as a built-in library and a large wood-burning stove built into the period stone chimney. During your stay, you’ll find there’s plenty of space for you all to enjoy yourselves. In the main barn, a rustic, teak dining table seats up to 10 guests, and is situated under an antler chandelier. The owners have thought of every detail, from the underfloor heating to the free-standing copper bath in the master bedroom. As guests you’re welcome to walk through the parkland of Bodney Hall down to the River Wissey. The river is a chalk stream and you can arrange fly fishing should you wish. There are stunning views of Norfolk’s countryside and large skies to be had from every angle in the garden. And if you’d really like to de-stress while you’re here, you can book private catering and massages too. Additional Information: Sleeps 12 guests (including use of the mezzanine level twin single beds). Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Children of all ages welcome. Cot available on request. The mezzanine level holds two 3' single beds which guests are welcome to use, however caution should be taken up the steep spiral staircase. Please be aware, guests using these beds will need to share en-suite facilities with another bedroom. Underfloor heating throughout the main barn. Private catering and massages can be booked in advance through the owners. Fly fishing and other services can be booked in advance through the owners. The owners have provided a wood fired hot tub (seats six guests comfortably). A few steps up to access. Please ensure that children are supervised whilst in use. Bespoke built-in library. Games room with wood burning stove, full-size snooker table and dart board.
