Bow Cottage is a traditional dog friendly terraced cottage, stylishly furnished and equipped to a very good standard throughout, in a sought-after position in the heart of East Portlemouth village. A pleasant 7/10 minute downhill walk to the sandy beaches of the estuary, this is a wonderful base for exploring the area. The Salcombe ferry runs between East Portlemouth and the main town throughout the year, giving access to the town’s shops and pubs. In the High Season, the Harbour Master operates an evening water taxi service too!
The property boasts lovely estuary views from both the front and back, but particularly from the master bedroom. On the ground floor, there is a cosy sitting room and a stylishly finished kitchen with electric Aga, table seating 6, and French doors onto very small balcony with estuary views.
On the first floor, the property has two bedrooms – a double bedroom with superb 6′ bed and large picture window, and a twin room with 3′ single beds. On the lower ground floor level (below kitchen) is a further open space/den (best suited for children, and adjacent to the bathroom) with a 3′ single bed and further 3′ mattress on a pull-out truckle base. This room doesn’t have a window but is very airy, and is offered only as an alternative sleeping option (maximum occupancy is four plus a baby). The family bathroom is also on the lower floor with roll top bath and power shower.
