    More Information

This outstanding period farmhouse sits within two acre grounds in the small village of Burton Pidsea, five miles from Hedon and seven miles from the beach at Withernsea. With a hot tub and a games room, it is the perfect holiday home for family celebrations with plenty of space to spread out. Step inside to a wealth of original features, from the beamed ceilings, flagged floors and aged timber doors, to the open cast iron range and the inglenook fireplace. Each room is tastefully furnished in keeping with the age of the property, but with every modern convenience, including biomass heating and walk-in showers. The spacious country-style kitchen is a delight, complete with a Belfast sink, granite worktops and an impressive dual fuel range cooker. With a large farmhouse table and a cosy open fire, it provides a wonderful sociable space to sit and linger over a communal meal. For more formal occasions there is a separate dining room with a woodburner. The equally spacious sitting room also offers a warming woodburner, comfortable sofas. Two staircases lead up to the upper floor, with three of the bedrooms having an en-suite and all with a TV. The family bathroom has a bath and shower, catering for all the family needs. The garden room has been craftily converted from an original stable block and houses the bubbling hot tub at one end, an exercise area with a multigym and exercise bikes and additional dining area and conservatory furniture set around the patio doors that open onto a pretty, enclosed courtyard garden. All ages will take pleasure in the games room, with a full-size snooker table. Outside, the exceptional two acre grounds afford lots of room to relax and enjoy the surrounding open countryside. The village inns and shop are a short stroll away and nearby Hedon is a small, attractive historic town, with all amenities available. Cyclists will take heart with the flat terrain, as will birdwatchers who take to the coast and nearby Spurn Point. There are expansive sandy beaches all along the Holderness coast, or a short drive leads to the rolling Yorkshire Wolds with their distinctive chalk hills. The inner city of nearby Hull is well worth a visit and guests must make a beeline for the national renowned aquatic centre at The Deep. A beautiful property in a quiet corner of East Yorkshire which will leave lasting memories.
