More information

Bram’s Lair is in a prestigious spot of the seaside town of Whitby, just moments away from the sandy beach. Reportedly where Bram Stoker wrote the famous story of Dracula in 1897, this dog friendly ground-floor apartment overlooks Crescent Gardens and has views over the coastline and beach, making an idyllic base for families, friends and literary lovers looking for a coastal retreat. The interior has an open-plan living space with blue, grey, and white décor, as well as a shaker-style kitchen with everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals. Unwind on the sofa with a cup of tea as you catch-up on shows on the wall-mounted TV or curl up on the armchair to escape into the pages of a book. The dining table is great for mealtimes and board games, so you can look forward to spending time together. After a day lounging on the beach, freshen up in the shower room before choosing your room. There are two bedrooms, a king-size with a dresser and a double bed with a single bunk on top with storage to keep your belongings. In the morning, enjoy a quaint stroll around Crescent Gardens before picking a café to enjoy a home-cooked breakfast and steaming cup of coffee. The coastal town of Whitby is ideal for the explorers at heart, where you can tour the ruins of Whitby Abbey, head up 199 steps for splendid views of the coastline and enjoy fish and chips on the sandy beach to unwind. A short drive will lead you to the picture-perfect village of Robin Hood’s Bay; here you can paddle in rock pools on the sweeping beach, find ancient fossils and dine out at a traditional pub. Also, within easy reach is the vibrant town of Scarborough, home to a medieval castle to immerse yourself in the past, an aquarium to admire sea creatures and a water park for a splash. For long-lasting memories with your loved ones, consider Bram’s Lair.
