Dating back to the 17th century, the cottage is full of pretty design features with latch doors and black and white beams. There are two sitting rooms, one of which has a more formal dining area and an open fire which is perfect for spending time with the whole group over an evening meal. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a snug which has a woodburner where you can curl up in the evening with a good book. The bedrooms are set across the first floor and include two double rooms with an en-suite each and two twin rooms which share use of the family bathroom. The outside space at this cottage and the surrounding village views are what makes this a truly special location. The lawned garden has a patio and furniture and offers plenty of space for the children and dogs to play. A bench to the front gives you the perfect spot to watch the birds come and go from the river. With a shop set within the converted dovecote, a village pub and tearoom, this quaint village is a perfect location for a holiday at any time of year. The town of Hay-on-Wye is a fantastic day out and there are many fantastic areas of countryside nearby including the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park.
