Broughton in Furness 5.9 miles. This detached farmhouse rests on the outskirts of Ulpha, amidst the serene countryside of the southern Lake District. Well-equipped throughout, Brigg House offers a fabulous base for families and friends seeking a private bolthole in the Lake District. Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the kitchen, offering a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a dishwasher, so cleaning up will be little hassle! Follow the flagstone flooring into the living room, featuring exposed beams, a corner sofa and a woodburning stove, this is a lovely spot to unwind in the evening. Serve the fruits of your labour in the dining room, complemented with a glass of fizz as you discuss plans for the next adventure. The bedrooms await upstairs, consisting of two doubles and a twin, each neutrally presented and serviced by a magnificent bathroom. To the exterior are spacious lawned areas, giving your pooch plenty of space to explore, while from the door there are a number of fantastic walks to embark on. Spend the day exploring Walna Scar, or the Coniston Range and the renowned Old Man of Coniston Peak, before ending the day with a pint and a tasty meal in the Blacksmith Arms. The bustling town of Broughton-In-Furness is home to further amenities, including three pubs, a newsagent, two cafes, a local butchers/grocers, petrol station and a second-hand bookshop. Visit Ulverston, a lively town home to the Laurel and Hardy Museum, Stan Laurel’s Birthplace, and the excellent Ulverston Golf Club, where you can put your clubs to the test with spectacular views of Morecambe Bay.
