Embrace the fresh countryside air in the enclosed patio garden, ideal for relaxing in after a long day sightseeing or walking. Just a stone’s throw away, the nearest pub offers a wonderful way to reward yourself as you indulge in a cold pint of local ale . Get to know your surroundings with a walk into Windermere village where you will be spoilt for choice by the selection of boutique shops, street cafe’s and eateries to explore or dine in. Take a relaxing stroll alongside Lake Windermere and admire its fabulous and far-reaching views, or why not get involved in some water sports, including kayaking and boat rides. Open tour buses are available in the nearby towns of Ambleside and Grasmere, whilst lake cruises are a lovely way to explore the area. Literary lovers will delight in a visit to the World of Beatrix Potter, which is great for those with children or head to the National Trust owned Hill Top, which was formerly the farmhouse that Beatrix Potter lived in. Brook Cottage is well-placed for discovering the best of the Lake District.
