This quaint and atmospheric village is packed with nostalgia and charm, with a couple of local inns, quaint tea rooms and a couple of shops. A short walk brings you to the small sandy cove and coble landing, with rock pooling, crabbing, fishing or simply building sand castles on the beach. Walkers will delight in an exhilarating clifftop walk on the Cleveland Way, which links Staithes with neighbouring villages, such as Runswick Bay and Port Mulgrave, a superb way to explore this Dinosaur Coast. Nearby Whitby is a must with its famous Abbey, reached by the 199 steps. With many independent shops, good restaurants, traditional tea rooms and the best fish and chips in Yorkshire, there is something here for everyone! With many attractions in the local area, including the steam railway at Grosmont, the Danby Moors Visitors Centre and boating on the River Esk at Ruswarp, this lovely cottage is well placed for a varied and interesting holiday.
