The popular town of Llangollen makes a lovely day out for all the family; following a picturesque route along the A5, before reaching the town centre, where a bridge over the dramatic River Dee takes centre stage. Llangollen has a good selection of pubs and restaurants, as well as quaint shops and stunning views of the surrounding hills. Further afield, the town of Bala, known for Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) provides watersports activities and lovely walks around the perimeter. Slightly further again is the stunning Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, for more challenging days out, or simply exploring the charming towns and villages rooted in the quintessentially Welsh surroundings.
