Take a stroll to the vast sands of Lligwy Beach, making your way towards Porth y Môr, or spend the day in the neighbouring village of Moelfre to see the 12th century remains of Hen Capel Lligwy, The Lligwy Cromlech and the Gwylfan Moelfre Seawatch. Delight in an ice cream as you wander to Old Fisherman’s Cottage and spot Ynys Moelfre in the distance, or hop in the car and head for Beaumaris to see the medieval fortress of Beaumaris Castle, the Victorian prison of Beaumaris Gaol and the thriving Beaumaris Pier. Head out to sea to see Puffin Island with Seacoast Safaris, or continue along the Menai Strait to Menai Bridge, where you can enjoy an afternoon of seal spotting or spend the day at Pili Palas Nature World. Over on the mainland, GreenWood Family Park and Piggery Pottery are a real hit with those travelling with children, whilst outdoor enthusiasts should be sure to explore Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park with Yr Hen Weithdy, Carnedd Llewelyn and Aber Falls awaiting your arrival.
