Positioned in the charming grounds of Cober Hill in Cloughton near Scarborough in North Yorkshire is this lovely three-bedroom holiday home, Butler’s Cottage. Welcoming five guests and their two four-legged friends, Butler’s Cottage boasts a well-equipped kitchen/diner, close access to the local amenities and a lovely location in the North York Moors National Park. Cross the threshold into your new home and kick back in a homely sitting room in the warmth of an open fire; allow the designated chef of the group to whip up a tasty dish in the kitchen before settling down at the dining table, savouring a bottle of wine and reflecting on your favourite memories so far as you tuck in. If you prefer to bask in your surroundings a little longer, step out into the private garden to relish a late-night tipple, before heading inside to complete your evening routine in either the ground-floor shower room or bathroom. Choose from three immaculately-presented bedrooms to rest your in head, including a double, a king size and a single, before waking to kickstart your itinerary; there is also a sofa bed for added flexibility. From your doorstep, make use of the extensive gardens, croquet lawn, tennis courts and children’s play area which can be found on-site and are sure to excite guests of all ages. Butler’s Cottage sits in the grounds of Cober Hill Hotel and if you would like a break from cooking it is usually possible to book afternoon tea or dinner at the hotel (please ask on arrival for availability). Take a relaxing stroll through the 11 acres of grounds at Cober Hill up to the top meadow which boasts magnificent views of the rolling countryside or begin your adventures in Scarborough where you can enjoy marine life at SEA LIFE, get a taste for the local history at Scarborough Castle or relax upon the sandy trails at Scarborough or South Bay Beach. From your doorstep, there is also a plethora of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes, perfect for stocking up on the essentials or refuelling ahead of more exciting activities. Travel into the North York Moors National Park to explore the Cleveland Way National Trail that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape or embark on a scenic journey via the North York Moors Railway.
