More information

Tucked away in a private courtyard in the centre of the market town of Sandwich, is this character, three-storey home, 7 Watts Yard. Originally part of the former Watts Yard Building, this property has been wonderfully converted to provide a fantastic holiday base for a party of six. Upon arrival you are greeted by a sought-after off-road parking space, and with everything in walking distance, you’ll hardly need the car all week! Make your way inside and become familiar with the kitchen, home to an assortment of appliances and units, aiding your home-cooking experience. Gather at the dining table and enjoy a group supper before sinking into the settee and catching up on your favourite shows. A door leads out to the enclosed courtyard garden, providing a lovely space to enjoy a beverage whilst you consider your holiday agenda. Move to the first floor and find two bedrooms, a double and a twin, serviced by a principle bathroom with dual aspect. Up another set of stairs leads to the second-floor single bedroom, which benefits from an en-suite shower. When you’re ready to explore, you won’t have to go far to find a collection of pubs, restaurants and cafés to suit all tastes and budgets. There are plenty of attractions worth visiting, including the Sandwich Guildhall Museum, the White Mill Rural Heritage Museum and the Gazen Salts Nature Reserve, all must-visit spots whilst you’re in the area. Just north of the town lies Richborough Fort, one of the most symbolically-important of all the Roman sites in Britain, holding unique Roman artefacts and the remains of an amphitheatre. Head out on a ramble or bike ride through Kent Downs, offering stunning scenery and some of the finest views in the county, whilst Dover is nearby, with the picturesque White Cliffs provide a memorable adventure. Choose 7 Watts Yard for a central base in this historic market town, whatever time of year.
