There are also many sandy beaches in the area including Bideford Bay and Saunton Sands. Golfers have the Royal North Devon Golf Club, as well as Northam Burrows Country Park whilst surfing enthusiasts can enjoy the North Devon Surf School. The fishing village of Appledore is nearby with its quay and maze of narrow streets and Bideford offers a vibrant shopping area!
