You’ll also access the Langdale Valley and Coniston, and a scenic drive over the Kirkstone Pass, through the Troutbeck Valley drops you down to Ullswater. You’ll also lovely strolls from the doorstep of your Windermere holiday cottage – why not walk to the top of Orrest Head, where the lake views are the same today as the ones that inspired Alfred Wainwright.
