A traditional 17th century fisherman’s cottage, complete with wooden beams and cosy wood burning stove, located in Whitby’s Old Town, just yards from the beach, historic Abbey and the famous 199 steps which lead to St Mary’s church. This is a unique opportunity for couples and families to experience a piece of Whitby’s rich maritime heritage.
Step inside this wonderful cottage and feel an immediate sense of comfort and contentment. The open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area are smartly decorated in welcoming hues. There is an exposed brick fire surround, wooden flooring and wall sconces – perfect for relaxed candlelit evenings, chatting long into the night or curled up with a book from the book shelves.

On the first floor is a tranquil master bedroom with large double bed. There is a stylish shower room with shower, basin and WC.
Head to the second floor where you’ll find a second double bedroom.
An outside decking area with table and chairs can be accessed via steep steps.
The atmospheric sights and sounds of the surrounding locality, with its winding cobbled streets, tea rooms and superb centuries-old ‘smokehouse’, will stay with you long after your holiday. The nearby Tate Hill beach, just 50 yards from your front door. The climb up to St Mary’s is rewarded with impressive harbour views and mesmerising seascapes.
Yorkshire’s coastline offers spectacular cliff-top walks from the fishing village of Staithes, whilst Filey boasts a stunning 5-mile stretch of sandy beach.
