Step indoors to reach the kitchen/diner, fully-equipped for a self-catered stay, where you can gather as a four for mealtimes, whilst the sitting room oozes character, with original beams overhead, a delightful stone feature wall, and even the original coffin drop and smugglers cave, paying homage to the home’s origins. Cosy up in front of the electric fire before travelling up the spiral staircase, firstly reaching a double bedroom, a single room, and the shower room. The second floor houses the single bedroom, seperate to this you’ll also find a games room with a selection of scalextrics, board games and puzzles, perfect for taking advantage of on wetter days! Venture into the seaside town of Porthcawl, boasting a vibrant community and activities for all the family. Porthcawl is well-known for its stunning sandy beach, so don’t forget to pack your bucket and spade when you leave the house! Head into neighbouring Bridgend and explore the remains of Coity Castle or take a trip to Port Talbot and discover the Afan Argoed Country Park, where you can take a peaceful boat ride along the river, and journey through the depths of the lush forest. Take a short stroll down to the National Trust Dunes to take in some of the amazing scenery and wildlife, including wild deer and boar. The area is also home to a wealth of activities, from surfing to golf, with access to the pavilion and offers the chance to explore the local eateries, pubs, and shops of South Wales.
