For local amenities, you are a mere 15-minute walk to the Holt Lodge which plays hosts to a bar and a restaurant, and the closest shop can be found within 3.2 miles. To keep you busy whilst staying here you will have access to the 18th-century family home, Erddig, which rests on a 486- hectare landscape, providing gentle walks through natural beauty. For more challenging walks, Holt is a great base for exploring Snowdonia National Park, where you can climb the tallest mountain in Wales and explore the breath-taking coastline. Alternatively, you can visit the Roman city of Chester, which plays host to a good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, in addition to its famous zoo and racecourse.
