After a long day of exploring, retreat to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, a double bedroom and single with truckle bed, both beautifully presented. Freshen up in the bathroom before heading outside to the enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio and barbecue; the perfect spot for alfresco dining in the sun. A leisurely stroll or a short car ride will take you into the heart of Lyme Regis, where you will find an excellent selection of independent shops, galleries, and restaurants. With water sports activities and boat trips available from the famous Cobb harbour, the family-friendly beaches make for an excellent day out. A trip to nearby Charmouth will allow you to follow in the footsteps of famous fossil hunters such as Mary Anning and William Conybeare, from whom this cottage gets its name, and learn about the Jurassic Coast at the Charmouth Heritage Centre. The South West Coastal Footpath takes in many sites of interest, including Golden Cap and the seaside villages of Seatown and Eype. Forde Abbey, with its historical house and gardens, and Durdle Door are both worthwhile excursions.
