This lovely property rests amidst the delights of the Ribble Valley and a short distance from the quaint village of Chipping. This spacious accommodation has beautiful walks, country pubs, and farm shops on the doorstep. The attractive sandstone built south-facing property has unrivalled outstanding views throughout, which go for miles and miles; only in person can you really appreciate them. The stunning dwelling rests within a private enclosed garden and contains six well-presented bedrooms, offering a large group of friends and family of up to twelve people a base from which to explore the area. Enter the property via a large dining/reception room, boasting a characterful inglenook fireplace. There is a huge oak extendable dining table to seat up to 12, and an additional smaller dining table. This room also offers a spot to kick off those walking shoes and hang coats before making your way into the kitchen. The interior of the kitchen enjoys a clever blend of tradition and contemporary, with the farmhouse-style counters creating a lovely contrast against the sleek island unit. There is plenty of space for the budding chef of the group to rustle up a delicious treat by making use of the quality appliances available. Gather with your loved ones at the large dining table, where you can admire the far-reaching countryside as you tuck in. Hours can be spent during a rainy day or a winter’s evening within the well-stocked large games room with three enormous memory foam bean bags, snooker table, football table, large TV and games cabinet stocked full of games, promising hours of entertainment for a family of all ages. Alternatively, relax and unwind within the spacious sitting room, where a woodburning stove takes centre stage before a plush seating arrangement, awaiting to be sunk into. There are two sets of stairs to the first floor, making it easy for private areas for two separate families if needed. Be spoilt for choice by the sleeping arrangement that this property plays host to, with six bedrooms ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit your needs. Look forward to settling under crisp white sheets on high-end pocket sprung beds and waking up to glorious views from any of six bedrooms: 1 x super-king-size bedroom with en-suite shower, basin and WC ), plus x 5 super-king rooms (all beds are zip/link and can be made into twins on request). The twin beds are hand-built rustic beds custom-made from barn-stored wood from the farm. Patio doors lead off the kitchen to a large sandstone patio area with extensive views of the Ribble Valley and the landscaped gardens. Continuing to impress, choose to indulge and savour a moment of relaxation by dipping into the bubbling hot tub, which is conveniently located with direct access indoors to a tiled floor area and wetroom, or simply laze on the outdoor furnishings and soak up the sunshine and views. Chipping is a charming, chocolate-box village, where you’ll find Brabin’s Shop and Café, officially Britain’s oldest continuously trading shop. This unassuming convenience store has operated as a shop since the 17th century, never serving any other purpose. The village proudly holds an RHS Gold Award for Britain in Bloom, with delightful floral displays tucked away in every corner, adding to its picturesque appeal. At the heart of the village sits the historic Sun Inn pub, steeped in local legend. It’s famously associated with the ghost story of Elizabeth Dean, adding a touch of mystery to this idyllic countryside setting. Venture to the ancient market town of Clitheroe, where you can explore the imposing 12th-century Norman Castle and discover the museum, 16 acres of landscaped gardens. Also within the town, you will find a superb selection of specialist shops, including the award-winning Byrnes Wine Shop offering something for all tastes. If you are interesting in walking, cycling, or golfing, the Ribble Valley is a place that is infused with history and rich heritage, and is littered with a plethora of walking routes to enjoy, such as Chipping to Parlick Pike circular, taking you from the village to explore some rugged terrain in the areas around Fair Snape Fell and Parlick Pike. Further afield, you can visit Blackpool, the Lake District National Park, and West Yorkshire, all within an hour’s drive. Cuthbert Hill Farm is a wonderful holiday cottage that you and your loved ones can call home for the duration of your stay. It is also only 9 minutes by car to Bleasdale Dog Park; this is a secure dog field with free parking and a wash down area; booking is required.
