Outside, to the rear is a delightful enclosed garden area which backs on to a nature reserve providing a lovely, peaceful area to sit and enjoy the birdlife; on summer days why not enjoy dining alfresco on the patio? Within the village are a popular cafe and restaurant, both of which overlook the delightful harbour, a short walk along the coastal path finds an array of beautiful sandy coves and beaches, perfect for a stroll or family day on the beach. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, with a fantastic links golf course only five minutes’ away in Morfa Bychan, beautiful sandy beaches, and Porthmadog with its harbour and three steam railways can be reached by driving or along the coastal walk path. A short drive away is the superb Italianate village and gardens of Portmeirion, which is well worth a visit. Further afield, all the attractions within and around the Snowdonia National Park are easily reached, including many CADW heritage sites and historic castles; for the more adventurous there is Zip World Titan with its zip wires and the mountain biking centre at Coed-Y-Brenin.
