Settle down at one of two dining tables, ready to tuck in as the wine is poured and conversation flows before stepping out onto the private patio, if the weather permits, to delight in a toast over a cold beverage, basking in your lovely surroundings as dusk sets in; the views of the Wild Atlantic Way from Doonalton House are simply breathtaking. A short drive away, you will find the beautiful Blue Flag accredited Enniscrone Beach, stretching for an amazing 5km and surrounded by a lively little seaside town, it offers a range of activities from surfing, golfing, walking, horse riding, amusements, sand dunes, fishing, swimming to a variety of summer camps that are held throughout the summer months. You should also find time to relax in the world-famous seaweed baths, renowned for their health benefits. In nearby Easkey, discover the historic remains of Easkey Castle, stroll along Easkey Pier or follow the famous Wild Atlantic Way, known as one of the longest, defined coastal routes in the world with stunning cliff top and sea views, in addition to a surfing school. The local shop, ‘Bernie’s’, can provide everything you need to ensure your self-catering holiday is fully stocked or you can refuel with a hearty pub lunch. Guests can also enjoy a day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Ceide Fields, visit Achill Island and Westport Town and House, climb Croagh Patrick or enjoy a tour through the world-famous Foxford Woollen Mills.
