Lodge 2 is settled into a remote area of Lockerbie, a wonderful location filled with many things to do, and you can stock up on essentials and enjoy a romantic meal for two from one of the selection of eateries available. Walks can be had in abundance, with Eskrigg Reserve, Castle Loch and the River Annan within easy reach, and the town even has its own ice rink and golf course! A visit to the charming Dumfries is a must, where you will find the ruins of Lincluden Collegiate Church, a local museum and Devorgilla Bridge crossing the picturesque river Nith, as well as a selection of eateries. Further from the property there is a number of fascinating historic sites including Drumlanrig Castle, Glenluce Abbey and Caerlaverock Castle, and from here a selection of beaches at Skinburness. The property also allows access the rugged scenery of the Galloway Forest Park, ideal for hiking and exploring the local wildlife.
