With the views beginning at home, you’ll be tempted to take on such famous Lake District walks as Silver How, Lang How and Helm Crag. Rising very close to the property is the impressive ‘Fairfield Horseshoe’ – keen walkers will be spoilt for choice. This historic Lake District village is famed for its connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who lived in the village at Dove Cottage is open to the public as part of the Wordsworth Museum. Artists will enjoy browsing several watercolour galleries in Grasmere, particularly the Heaton Cooper Studio which displays the Cooper family’s famous work as well as that of inspired local artists. The village centre has all the facilities you’ll need during your self-catering holiday in the heart of the Lakes.
