    Excellent accommodation in the heart of Grasmere village in the stunning Lake District for couples or families. Drystones is approached up a exterior stone staircase. There is an open plan living area with a stylish breakfast bar and sitting area with a Smart TV with a feature window overlooking the beck. Stairs lead to the master bedroom with a double bed and ensuite bathroom whilst there is a twin room and shower room on the first floor. Outside there is a small patio and bench overlooking the river. Nestled in the very heart of the Lakes, Grasmere is a lovely place for a romantic break in peaceful surroundings. With the views beginning at home, you’ll be tempted to take on such famous Lake District walks as Silver How, Lang How and Helm Crag. Rising very close to the property is the impressive ‘Fairfield Horseshoe’ – keen walkers will be spoilt for choice. This historic Lake District village is famed for its connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who lived in the village at Dove Cottage is open to the public as part of the Wordsworth Museum. Artists will enjoy browsing several watercolour galleries in Grasmere, particularly the Heaton Cooper Studio which displays the Cooper family’s famous work as well as that of inspired local artists. The village centre has all the facilities you’ll need during your self-catering holiday in the heart of the Lakes. From local shops and supermarket to quaint tea rooms and acclaimed restaurants – the Good Food Guide-listed Jumble Room is a treat for a special occasion and the Michelin Star awarded Forestside is just a few minutes’ walk from the apartment.
