More information

Dyffryn Cottage in Aberporth, Ceredigion, is an old mill-workers’ cottage and site of the Old Bakery, which has now been stunningly converted into a spacious, four-bedroom property. Perfect for family or friends seeking a coastal escape with their four-legged companions. This property sleeps eight guests, boats an electric Everhot in the main house and also an Everhot in the Old Bakery annexe. This converted property is a short walk past the green roof of the shed, with a few steps from the parking area leading to a path through the enclosed garden. The garden features a coastal theme with a patio, plants, slate, edging and lawns, offering a perfect spot to enjoy the views of the village and meals at the picnic table whilst the children play securely nearby. The first bedroom is located in the Old Bakery, where exposed stone walls and beams surround the double bed, adding character to the space; this space used to serve the village with bread and other baked goods, and it retains its unique history, while offering stylish comforts including a well-appointed en-suite bathroom. Open the vibrant blue door to the main house with a utility room nearby, you can toss in a load of laundry and perhaps pop a snack in the microwave, or find a treat for a pet. In the open-plan sitting room and dining room, there is ample seating for the whole family to gather, with the Everhot stove nestles in the exposed-brick fireplace keeping everyone toasty. The dining area adjacent to the kitchen and living room features a table to seat eight guests, perfect for enjoying meals next to the tastefully-designed kitchen, which complements the home’s charm. The downstairs bathroom offers a bath and deluge shower, giving both options. As you climb the stairs, the wooden panelling and lime-plaster walls continue the home’s traditional tone. Upstairs, you can choose from three additional bedrooms including a king-size, a double, or a bunk room with toys, which is perfect for children to play and rest their heads at night in. Dyffryn is a character cottage with parking on site and enclosed gardens to delight, as well as making a lovely base from which to enjoy the nearby beaches. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 930156, together sleeping 14.
