This delightful detached cottage is set in the small hamlet of Stibb, 2 miles from the village of Kilkhampton and just under 5-miles from Bude. Boasting plenty of character, Elm Cottage is an idyllic escape for families and friends looking to explore the stunning coastline and beaches of north east Cornwall. After a tiring day seeing the area, curl up beside the woodburning stove and flick through the Smart TV to find a great film, or gather in the main sitting room/diner to plan for the next adventure. You’ll have no trouble preparing delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen, appointed with a range of appliances and an array of cooking equipment, while there is also a handy utility cupboard with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs is occupied by four well-presented bedrooms, including the master king-size double with Velux windows and exposed beams looking down on you, giving the room a very traditional feel. There is also a double, twin and single room, offering guests plenty of choice and flexibility. Positioned at the rear of the property, there is a patio garden with seating and a barbecue, along with a shed which can be used for bike and surfboard storage, so on a warm summer evening, make use of the barbecue and a rustle up a feast amidst your loved ones in the sun. There are plenty of beaches, but less than two miles from Elm Cottage is the National Trust owned Sandymouth Bay, a fantastic sandy beach which is often much quieter than the other main beaches is a great spot to set up camp for a beach day, let the little ones paddle or simply enjoy making sandcastles. The pretty seaside town of Bude sits just over four miles away and comes with a plethora of things to see and do, from its wealth of quaint pubs, shops and cafés to the renowned surfing beaches to make the most of. Be sure to venture along the South West Coastal Path to experience the unspoilt beauty of the Cornish coastline with beautiful and rugged scenery. With the quintessentially Cornish villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac not too far away as well, there is so much to do from Elm Cottage.
