This neat little cottage on a no-through road is attached to a house about a mile from Dawlish town centre. With an upside down, private layout, it is a brilliant base for couples or anyone seeking a single holiday with lots to discover in the area. From the shared drive, your entrance takes you into the hall, off which is your spacious double en suite bedroom. Upstairs, you can relax in the sitting room with dining table, or wander out on a sunny day to the balcony, shared with the owners, which has fabulous views over the town and the coast and a table and chairs for eating outside. A neat kitchen is a well equipped space for preparing meals. As well as the balcony, you have your own suntrap area to sit within the garden. The cliff path leads in five minutes to the Coast Path and secluded little rock pool beaches at Boat Cove and Coryton Cove. Dawlish Warren National Nature Reserve is within walking distance via the seafront or four minutes by train/road. Wander the half mile footpath down into Dawlish town centre with its range of amenities and the sandy beach, or take to your bikes to cycle the easy Exe Estuary Trail to the cathedral city of Exeter. For more adventurous cycling, the 3,500 acre Haldon Hills Forest Park is criss-crossed with trails for all abilities, as well as for walkers, perfectly completed by brunch or a luscious slice of cake in the café. Take the pedestrian ferry from Starcross to Exmouth, with its long beach, or head to the beach and nature reserve at Dawlish Warren. With Exeter, Torquay and Dartmoor within easy reach, Exe View is a brilliant base for touring Devon with or without a car.
