This attractive first-floor apartment rests in the popular town of Bowness-on-Windermere in the South of the Lakeland District, close to the tranquil waters of Lake Windermere. The location is most enjoyable – only a short stroll to both lake and village and yet far enough off the village centre to have a feeling of quietness. The open-plan living area is sure to become the social point of the apartment, offering a plush sofa where you can relax in front of the TV or take in the pleasant view over the village towards the lake and Claife Heights. Just behind is an L-shaped kitchen with stylish fixtures and fittings, as well as a good range of utensils and appliances for you to make the most of when you’re not exploring eateries at your doorstep. For a peaceful end to the day, relax in the double bedroom, a snug place to read a good book or reminisce over your afternoon. There is also a twin room which is perfect for children, as well as a contemporary bathroom with bath and shower over. There are good walks in the area including the Dales Way which starts close-by, whilst those who climb Orrest Head will be rewarded with one of the finest views in the whole Lake District. The Windermere ferry carries cars to the other side of the lake, handy for Hawkshead, Coniston and visits to Beatrix Potter’s home at Sawrey. The charming destination of Kendal with its castle ruins, the Brewey Arts centre and a wide selection of shops are also nearby, plus the outdoor opportunity at Grizedale Forest is a must-visit, with a number of cycling and mountain biking trails, segway courses and zip-wire adventures. Avid walkers can look forward to exploring the peak of Claife Heights and the famous Old Man of Coniston, with glorious lakes views and industrial remnants. Fairview is a very well-placed apartment from which to explore the whole of the Southern Lakes, for a family holiday never to be forgotten.
