The area is rich in archaeological sites such as stone circles, wedge graves and other relics from the past. The rugged landscape can be enjoyed by walkers of all abilities, with the Beara Way offering routes around the peninsula with signed looped walks and coastal vistas. Places of interest are Glengarriff – with Garnish Island, The Bamboo Park, The Ewe Experience, nature reserve and cafes and restaurants.
