A wooden construction by Swedish experts, this detached Devon cottage sits on the site of an old sheep shearing shed. The cottage is in a peaceful rural location, a mile from the noted beauty spot of Bickleigh. Local wildlife can often be seen in the area such as deer, hawks and buzzard, plus sheep and cattle in the fields next door to the cottage.On the grounds of the owners’ house, Fig tree cottage has its own private driveway, with far-reaching, stunning, countryside views and spacious rooms, ideal for a family looking to enjoy a cottage holiday in Devon. Visit one of the many National Trust houses in the area surrounding your Devon cottage, or visit the small market town of Tiverton nearby. Explore the historic city of Exeter with its impressive cathedral, excellent shopping malls, galleries, bars and restaurants. The cottage is midway between Devon’s north and south coastlines, convenient for a day out to either.
