The Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre, with a café, cycle hire, Go Ape treetop adventure, zipwire course and forest segway experience, is 2½ miles away. The picturesque village of Hawkshead has wealth of pubs, cafes and shops, and is 5½ miles away, while the larger towns of Coniston and Ambleside are 10 miles away.
