Keswick is famed for its outstanding natural beauty, and there are a variety of walking tours available and short drives will take you to the top of Skiddaw Mountain or the beautiful Derwentwater Lake. Further afield, Keswick is just 14 miles from Cockermouth, which is home to the beautiful National Trust property of Wordsworth House and Garden where visitors will have the chance to learn about the famed poet and experience life in the 18th century, as well as visit the Jennings Brewery. In the other direction are the towns of Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere, making this a great base from which to explore the Lakes. Foxs Den is the perfect spot for a couple looking for that romantic getaway or a family looking to explore the natural beauty of the landscape around them.
