Take a walk around town stopping at all of Dartmouth’s local landmarks, including Dartmouth Harbour, Dartmouth Museum, Bayard’s Cove Fort and Dartmouth Castle, the latter sitting at the mouth of the River Dart standing watch over the town. Visit Dartmouth Castle’s counterpart, Kingswear Castle by taking a passenger ferry to the other side of the river, walking along the South West Coast Path to take in the gorgeous views of Dartmouth and then further east past Brownstone Battery, extending the walk further up to the National Trust’s Coleton Fishacre House and Gardens if you’re feeling energetic. Back on Dartmouth’s side of the river, hop in the car and drive down to Blackpool Sands for a glorious day on this Blue Flag award-winning beach, with a host of watersports to enjoy here too.
