Grainstore is a historic, one-bedroom cottage set in the village of Trethevy near Tintagel, Cornwall. A tastefully converted grainstore, this pretty dwelling provides two guests with off-road parking, an enclosed patio, a well-equipped kitchen, and easy access to the South West Coast Path, beaches, and historic sites. Be welcomed into the open-plan living space where you can set the table for two, whilst your other half rustles up dinner in the kitchen, complete with a coffee maker and washing machine. After dinner, sink into the sofa and watch TV or relax in your enclosed front patio with a glass of wine, whilst your dog rests their paws in the evening sun. Completing the cottage is a double bedroom with storage and sea views, sure to offer idyllic sunsets, along with an en-suite shower room. Be sure to explore the village of Trethevy, home to the historic St Piran’s Church, St. Pirans Well, and St Nectan’s Glen, a magnificent waterfall set in a wooded area. From your cottage, the South West Coast Path is a stone’s throw away, so you can explore Cornwall’s incredible coast by foot. Alternatively, Grainstore sits close to the road connecting Tintagel and Boscastle; start in Tintagel where legends of King Arthur await at Tintagel Castle and Merlin’s Cave, whilst breath-taking vistas can be found from the National Trust Glebe Cliff. The village is also home to convenience stores and a selection of pubs and restaurants, including the traditional Ye Olde Malthouse Inn and the King Arthur’s Arms Inn. In Boscastle, you’ll find quirky attractions including The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, whilst Pentargon Waterfall sits just on the outskirts with more of the idyllic coastal path to explore. Further along the coast brings you to the fishing village of Port Isaac, Doyden Castle, and the National Trust Pentire Point; stop off in Polzeath to laze on the sandy beach, try your hand at surfing, and taste local seafood at the Cracking Crab. Wadebridge is also close by where you can pack your bikes for a cycle along the popular Camel Trail, guiding your through miles of picturesque countryside. You’ll be spoilt for choice with a romantic holiday in Cornwall at Grainstore.
