Gas central heating and open fire in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. TV with Freeview, iPod dock, DVD player, WiFi and a selection of books and DVDs which are rotated on changeover so that every guest stay has books/DVDS that have been quarantined – guests are of course welcome to bring their own board games etc. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent, please bring own beach towels. Travel cot and highchair available. Off road parking for 3 cars. Lockable bike storage. Gwrtheyrn is a traditional 14th century semi-detached farmhouse, once the home of the Lords of Gwrtheyrn, and is believed to be one of the oldest houses in Wales. Located on the owners working farm, surrounded by fields and countryside, situated in the Snowdonia National Park on the outskirts of the coastal village of Dyffryn Ardudwy. This charming cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the many attractions and beaches the area has to offer and would suit couples, friends and is also great for families. The house has a wealth of original oak beams and panels, beautifully complimented by more modern handcrafted oak ledge and brace doors with wrought iron furniture, modern kitchen and bathrooms and lovely soft furnishings. Lovingly renovated and restored offers an extremely warm Welsh welcome, the charm and character is in abundance, starting with the sitting room which has plenty of comfortable seating and boasts an impressive inglenook fireplace with open fire. The kitchen is well-appointed with integrated appliances, extending to a well-proportioned dining area is a lovely place to sit as a family and enjoy a late supper or a more leisurely breakfast before setting out on a day’s adventure. There is a ground floor bedroom with en-suite shower room, ideal for guests who may find stairs a little challenging. Three further bedrooms, all individually styled are arranged on the first floor and serviced by a shower room and a family bathroom. Outside, the private garden and picnic area adds to the luxury and homely atmosphere of this farmhouse. Gwrtheyrn offers the perfect location for a wonderful break all year round.
