Offering dog-friendly accommodation in the Lake District, this lovely abode sits close to Lake Windermere and spectacular walks, whilst inside you’ll find high-quality amenities and contemporary living areas set on the ground floor. There is off-road parking for three cars, a well-kept front garden, and a porch to kick off your boots when you arrive. Step inside to find a pristine kitchen with a breakfast bar for two, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals for six guests. You can dine at the table for six in the living/dining room or set up in your private, rear garden with outdoor seating; after dinner, relax on the swing seat in the evening sun with a cold beverage. Back inside, a bright and airy sitting room with a bay window overlooking the garden has cushioned seating, a large Smart TV, and selection of books. The utility room is perfect for sorting walking gear and muddy boots after hiking through the Lakes, with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and basin, whilst the shower room hosts a walk-in shower and heated towel rail to keep your towel warm and ready. When it’s time to retire, Halewood has three attractive, minimalist bedrooms each with storage space, including two king-sizes with bay windows, and a double. Bowness-On-Windermere is a wonderful base for your holiday in the Lake District with so much to see and do, whether that’s sailing and watersports along Lake Windermere, just a stone’s throw away from Halewood, or visiting classic characters at The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, golfing with incredible views at Windermere Golf Club, and heading into Windermere to hike up Orrest Head Viewpoint. If you want a break from cooking, there is a variety of dining options such as The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant, Hooked to taste locally caught seafood, and San Pietro Windermere Restaurant for Italian cuisine. Explore more of Lake Windermere by visiting the National Trust’s Wray Castle or Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s charming farmhouse, or perhaps you’d prefer panoramic views of the lake from the top of Claife Heights? For more outdoor adventures, Grizedale is a short drive away for plenty of walking and cycling trails to suit the whole family, but if you’re looking for a challenge, Scafell Pike and the Helvellyn are a must! You’ll also have easy access to picturesque Lakeland locations including Ambleside with its Roman Fort and the scenic Stock Ghyll Force, Grasmere to explore the former home of William Wordsworth, and the bustling market town of Kendal, close to the National Trust’s 14th-century Sizergh Castle. Discover all this and more on your next Lake District vacation at Halewood.
